What will you do as a High Voltage Engineer?
In this role you will work on the design, calculation, and integration of electrical systems for medium- and high-voltage substations. Your tasks include developing protection and control schemes, preparing wiring and circuit diagrams, and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of installations. You’ll create technical documentation, perform site inspections, and support testing and commissioning phases. Collaboration with project teams, clients, and suppliers is an essential part of the job, as well as contributing to continuous improvements and innovative engineering solutions.
Additionally, your responsibilities include:
- Design and draft electrical control and protection diagrams for medium- and high-voltage substations;
- Perform cable calculations, wiring layouts, and interface definitions;
- Prepare and review technical specifications and documentation to ensure quality and compliance;
- Create and manage design packages using ELCAD and/or EPLAN;
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers on technical topics;
- Conduct on-site inspections and translate findings into accurate design updates;
- Guide and support junior engineers in executing project tasks;
- Contribute to standardization, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering discipline.
